Utilized Shima Seiki APEX SDS-ONE Software (KnitPaint, KnitDesign) to program knit swatches. Learned the structures of knits, problem-solved errors, and experimented with design and shaping.

Physical swatch collection 1

This collection was inspired by my Chinese heritage. I used my Chinese name "董文呀" (Dong Wenya) and Chinese Knotting as design elements. I focused on the primary colors as they are the foundational building blocks to other colors.

Virtual swatch collection 1

This collection further expands on the primary colors and color-blocking through geometric designs in knitwear. Experimented with multiple colorways to see how graphic or subtle the designs could get.

An experimental collection with a big focus on jacquard design and branding it towards JD-PANDA and geometric design with the use of pixels and origami. Entirely in grayscale with a hint of blue to relate my senior thesis collection.

Virtual swatch collection 2

A knitted handbag surface design collection that is fully in grayscale. Incorporated JD-PANDA branding through the name and logo. Simple line art and geometric designs through pixels.
