"CLO is a 3D fashion design software program creating virtual, true-to life garment visualization with cutting-edge simulation technologies for the fashion"
Kimono
First time using CLO-3D! Learned the basic tools to pattern a rectangular kimono with a rounded neck and arm openings. Draped it on the virtual model.
Swing Dress
Used the kimono patterns as a base to pattern the swing dress. Brought in arm holes, added volume to the dress, and shortened the hem. Custom prints designed in previous classes were added as texture and placed onto the swing dress.
Body Con Top + Leggings
Created the body con top and legging patterns in the 2D window, draped it on the virtual model, and made adjustments to ensure a perfect fit (referenced fit maps). Custom geometric and origami-inspired primary-colored print design was added and placed onto the body con top and leggings.
Princess Seam Jacket
Altered the default t-shirt file to create a zippered princess seam jacket with hood on top of the previous assignment (body con top and leggings). The following are elements that were included to complete the look: 2-piece hood or 3-piece hood, piping or topstitching.
Princess Seam Jacket with Animation
Learned the animation component in CLO-3D to record the model walking in motion to see the fabric move realistically. Used the body con top, leggings, and princess seam jacket. Tacked the hood onto the model's head to ensure it would stay up during the motion.
One Shoulder Top and Pleated Maxi Skirt
Re-patterned the body con top to be a one shoulder. Utilized the pleating tools to create a pleated skirt. Rendered garment with background.
Swing Dress with Buttons
Took the swing dress and split the front in the center to create an opening for button plackets. Used the button and button hole tools.
Front Lace Up Corset with Straight Leg Trousers
Transformed body con top into a lace up corset and the leggings into the looser fitting straight leg trousers.
Avant-Garde Origami and Reflective Fabric Mini Collection
Based on my senior thesis collection. Recreated digitally, the 50-piece look and the 52-piece bag.
